I was very excited to try a torch pressed salmon. So I went to this restaurant with my son for the first time. The place was clean, and quiet, no diners at that time but there were lots of food delivery guys. I didn’t expect much of the food as I was just thinking of the salmon (at long last). However, when our food came, I wasn’t really impressed with the sizes of their sushi. The salmon piece on top of the rice was quite thin as in it was like melted with the rice. Yes it tasted good, but it didn’t last good. I don’t know about you but I savour my food in every taste buds I have on my tongue. As I was chewing my food, I only tasted the salmon for a second and then I tasted the rice more. The size of the sushi did not impress me at all. The quality of the sushi box was pretty. The sushi itself was cute (not just the size), they had it decorated on top with herb, spice, sauce. Quite impressive on that area. Price wise, not too expensive nor cheap. Will I come back again? Yes but not so soon

We had take out from TORCH Press last week and I would say you are getting a great bang for your buck here! My only complaint would be the stickiness of the rice on some of the sushi’s as it would fall apart as I try to pick it up from the box. Other than that the flavours are all there and we would definitely try their other choices on their menu when we go downtown next time!

I was visiting a patient at the Holland Hospital on Wellesley Street and popped out for food. I happened across this sushi restaurant and am so glad I did! Lucie, the person who greeted me, was so helpful with the menu, recommendations, and explanations. Their service really helped make the whole experience simple and easy. The food is DELICIOUS!! I got the tasting box which was great! Such a perfect meal!

For a few years I’ve been dining there and had takeout the experience was always exceptional. This past weekend I had a large party and ordered the sushi boats. Everyone loved it, definitely a crowd pleaser. From ordering by email up to pick up the service and food was beyond my expectations. Thank you to your team for always going beyond. I was only able to take a photo of the boats securely wrapped.

I had an incredible experience at Torch Pressed Sushi on Church Street! I tried the Fantastic 4 and the Original Salmon sushi, and both were amazing. The flavors were fresh, rich, and perfectly balanced, with a melt-in-your-mouth quality that made each bite unforgettable. The presentation was beautiful, and the staff were friendly and attentive. If you're a sushi lover, this place is a must-visit in Toronto. Highly recommended!

Excellent place for sushi in downtown Toronto. Delicious fresh fish, perfectly cooked sushi rice, and amazing sides. I had the salmon rice bowl and enjoyed most of the torched pressed sushi. Great service. Affordable priced. About 40 dollars per person including tax and tip.

As far as fast-food sushi goes, this place was pretty good (the sushi was; not so much so the Japanese curry) but… One of the walls in the front-end of the restaurant where the customers sit was staked floor to ceiling with takeout boxes. What a big giant turnoff. I don’t want to go out to eat to look at a wall of carry out boxes?! Just not OK.
